There’s no denying it, the NHL lost a lot of money and a ton of fan support after yet another lockout that ended up reducing the entire 2012-13 season to 48 games. Many casual fans will switch over to other sports in spite, so this is a clever little campaign that shows how much faster, tougher, and better hockey is compared to every other televised sport. If these videos don’t make you want to watch some fast-paced NHL action featuring the best players in the world, there must be something wrong with you.
One of the things that got me into art direction in the first place was my love of creating music videos. After years of school and trying to do professional work, videography took a backseat for me, but film still remains the most powerful advertising tool possible in this world—regardless of the progress that social media marketing has made over the years. Through film, I can share a great story in even 30 seconds and to me that’s what it’s all about.
